You say on your site that you write humor, but what else do you enjoy writing?
Humor is my first love. It comes naturally and flows freely. I also have a lot of interesting and individual perspectives on all areas of life. If you look hard enough, you can find humor almost anywhere. I also enjoy writing about serious matters, notably relationship matters. The dynamics of human relationships can run very deep and I find great pleasure in exploring that.
What's up with the Miss Deborah name?
Miss Deborah is a fun name. When I was thinking about a pen name to write under , I didn't want to venture too far from my own name, which is Deborah. I've always enjoyed when I see or hear a man referring to a woman in a way that hints at the nuance of respect. He puts her into a category that speaks of her position as a strong, confident woman. Miss Deborah fits that mold nicely.
The book name - Honey, Hold My Purse While I Kick Your Ass - is funny, but can you really kick someone's ass?
I can, and I have. Probably not in the sense that you think, but I'm insightful and intelligent enough to know that a wise woman looks to herself for strength. What's that old saying - write that which you know. *smiles*
Will the book appeal to men, or is it more for those of the female persuasion?
The book is for everyone and anyone who has ever been in a relationship. I don't diss men in the book. I love men. I also love the funny way that men and women tend to communicate. The book's focus is on expressing yourself clearly so that the man in your life will actually understand what you are saying. Men will appreciate the way I tell women to deal with their personalities and those qualities that only men possess. They'll also gain some insight into why we as women do those things we do.
